Exercise #01 (Visualization)

INTRODUCTION

This first exercise was more on imagining something that would represent a certain word. It is on drawing something on what comes up in your mind when you hear a certain word. It’s all about projecting what you are thinking through drawing representations. We are given with the word freedom, unity, strength, and energy and should draw what comes up with our mind or visualization.

REFLECTION

Through this given exercise I have expressed or visualize the things or something that would represent when I hear the words freedom, unity, strength, and energy. Even if I’m not good in drawing I still draw the things which I visualize and it’s a great learning for me. I used to draw with something that I will imitate but I am proud to say that this exercise helped me to draw something which I only visualize within my mind. I also learned that visualization helps on giving importance to a thing which represents something especially within our moral values.

Exercise #02 (Bottle and Plant with Shades)

INTRODUCTION

One of the hardest activity I encounter was this exercise, the bottle and plant with shades. Our teacher let us stay on a place where we are comfortable. And then from our place we should draw the two materials on the tables which where the bottle and plant. We are also told to shade the objects the way we see it from our seats. We are given with the measurement of the bottle from its cap up to its bottom part. We are also told to put a shade meter from the lightest shade to the darkest shade.

REFLECTION

I found the exercise hard because I am going to apply shade on the plant and bottle in the way how I see it in my seat. The measuring of the bottle also hassle me because I need to measure it first and then do the desired shape. I might not get the exact shading and shapes of the objects but I realize that I don’t draw that bad either. I learned a lot through this activity especially on having patience and perseverance to accomplish a thing which I find hard.

Exercise #03 (The Human Face)

INTRODUCTION

This exercise was done step by step. First we draw an oval shape. Then we put one vertical line which divides the face in lengthwise position and two horizontal lines for the guide on where we will put the eyes and the nose. In between the horizontal lines at the outer part of the oval we draw the ears. Then we draw its eyes, eyebrows, nose, and mouth. Lastly, we draw its hair to distinguish if it’s a boy or a girl. And then erase the unnecessary lines to become neat. And now we have drawn a human face.

REFLECTION

Drawing the human face was not an easy subject to draw for me. Because I need to have an oval shape distinguish from the other one I draw. I need to be careful enough to get it right. I even got the need to measure to have it approximately correct. But on the other hand, I learned a lot from this exercise especially on drawing the human face.

Exercise #04 (Nine Techniques)

INTRODUCTION

Exercise # 04 was entitled “Nine Techniques” for we are introduced with the nine techniques of shading on a drawing. We are asked to draw a tree on a used folder and cut it afterwards for the tree that we cut out of the used folder was our guide to have a uniform tree to be shaded. The nine techniques were the horizontal, vertical, diagonal, cross, zigzag, spirals, circles, dots, smudge, and an additional one which was the  combination of any of the nine techniques. Proper execution of techniques and the shading were observed in this exercise.

REFLECTION

I enjoyed the exercise though its tiring doing the shading especially the dots. I learned some of the shading techniques before but now my knowledge was deepen through the exercise because I learned to execute the techniques properly and explore more on how it adds beauty to a drawing.

Exercise #05 (Non-objective Shapes)

INTRODUCTION

Exercise # 05 was one of the enjoyable exercises in Educational Technology 2 Laboratory. We are about to draw many lines on a cartolina with our eyes being blindfolded. We will not stop until the 1 minute time will end. After drawing lines the moment of truth which is when we see what we have drawn and it’s so funny what we did on the cartolina. After the drawing we were tasked to color the spaces between the lines but we should make sure that there will be no colors adjacent to each other. Coloring skills and proper execution of techniques was observed in this exercise.

REFLECTION

I learned that there is beauty within things you do not think of like drawing non-objective lines. With appropriate coloring skills and proper execution of techniques we can make something awesome, something that we don’t thought to be beautiful in the first place. Through the exercise I make an abstract drawing without even thinking of it and just giving its title after the art was already done.

Exercise #06 (OHP)

INTRODUCTION

Exercise # 06 was all about the OHP. In this exercise, we are tasked to make a presentation using transparency films. We must have a lesson plan in order to make the activity since we will make instructional materials for the lesson plan in the form of the transparency films. We are thought on some techniques which will make our presentation presentable and beautiful.

 REFLECTION
Through the given exercise I encounter the material which will be projected in the OHP and it’s the transparency film. The exercise gave me the knowledge on what to do on making a presentation with the use of the OHP. I learned that there are certain techniques to be applied in the transparency film and there is transparency films which are ready made (ready made templates). The technique which I can’t forget was the overlapping technique in which transparency films were overlapped to show something on the projector.

Exercise #07 (MS Word)

INTRODUCTION
One of the open office application is the MS Word which  we used to encode a detailed lesson. We are given the format on what to do and what to input, like the cover page, spacing, font, and inserting word arts.

REFLECTION

MS Word is the Open Office applicaton in which I am very familiar with. We use to do paperworks using this open office. My knowledge on this open office was added with new ideas. I have applied my knowlege and also apply the knowledge which were just recently learned.
